Host

Overview#

Middleware Host Monitoring shows host health and resource usage collected by the Infrastructure Agent. It connects each host with its available metrics, containers, processes, logs, and APM services for investigation.

Use Host Monitoring to investigate resource bottlenecks, unavailable hosts, or changes in performance. Related process and application data helps narrow the investigation to a workload on the affected host.

View Hosts#

Go to Infrastructure Monitoring → Host.

The Host List displays all monitored hosts along with their key information:

  • Host Name — Name of the monitored host.
  • Operating System — OS running on the host.
  • CPU Utilization — Current CPU usage.
  • Memory Utilization — Current memory usage.
  • Status — Host availability (UP or DOWN).

You can search for a specific host by name or use the left-side filter panel to filter hosts by their attributes.

Host Details#

Click any host in the Host List to open its Host Details panel.

The panel provides detailed information about the selected host across six tabs:

  • Host Info
  • Metrics
  • Containers
  • Processes
  • Logs
  • APM Services

Use these tabs to investigate host performance and identify related infrastructure or application issues.

Host details Infra Monitoring

Host Info#

The Host Info tab provides detailed information about the selected host, including its configuration, system information, and uptime.

Use this tab to review host properties and understand the current state of the machine.

Metrics#

The Metrics tab provides performance metrics for the selected host.

It includes more than 10 metric graphs covering key infrastructure resources, such as:

  • CPU — Monitor CPU utilization and usage trends.
  • Memory — Track memory consumption and utilization.
  • Network — Monitor network-related activity and performance.
  • Other host metrics — Review additional collected performance metrics.

Use these graphs to identify resource spikes, sustained high utilization, or changes in host performance.

Containers#

The Containers tab displays containers running on the selected host.

Click any container name to open its details and investigate container-level information.

This helps you move from host-level monitoring to the containers running on that host.

Processes#

The Processes tab displays the processes running on the selected host, along with their performance metrics.

Use this view to identify processes that may be consuming significant system resources.

Click any process name to open its details for further investigation.

Logs#

The Logs tab displays logs collected from the selected host.

Use this tab to correlate host performance issues with log activity without switching to a separate host search.

Click any log entry to inspect its details, including the log message and associated properties.

For example, if a host experiences high resource utilization, you can review logs from the same host to look for related errors or application events.

APM Services#

The APM Services tab displays application services associated with the selected host, when APM data is available.

You can view the services running on the host along with their performance metrics.

Use this tab to understand which application services are associated with the host and investigate potential relationships between infrastructure performance and application behavior.
